Plenty of March Break activities in Welland

Children and teens across Niagara will have a reprieve from school next week as they put falling the books and go on March break. To register for museum programs or For more details call 905-732-2215.

At the library kids aged five to eight will have a chance to read with therapy dogs on Monday and Tuesday.

Younger kids will be ready to leave their teddy bears at the library for a sleep over Wednesday night.

Youth aged 11 to 17 will find something for themselves with the Hunger Games on Tuesday.

Young and old can team up for several all-ages events planned at the library for the week.

Monday will see drop-in board games from 10 a. to 3:30 p. to noon. Wii Mario Kart will see races from 2:30 p. giving youngsters a chance to tattoo themselves with glitter and enjoy an ice cream treat.

Kids will be invited to enjoy snacks and stories from the gross side of life on Friday with Oooey Gooey Grimey Tales. The event will see participants learning how to survive in the arena and testing their knowledge of both survival skills and the book. Young and old can team up for several all-ages events planned at the library for the week.

Fun at the museum continues on Thursday with an annual March break favourite, A Looming Tale by the Niagara Handweavers and Spinners Guild.

Younger kids will be able to leave their teddy bears at the library for a sleep over Wednesday night.

Around the World with Flat Stanley will take place for the six to eight group on Thursday inviting children to follow Flat Stanley on a globe-trotting adventure through story.

Opportunities for older kids, aged eight to 12, will also abound throughout the week with chess tips and practice on Monday. on Tuesday. to 2 p.
