| WATCH LIVE: Elizabethton kicks off festival with ribbon The Covered Bridge Celebration kicks off this afternoon with a very special ribbon cutting. Kids Island will offer fun filled activities including a stocked river and a free fishing clinic. Experience all that Elizabethton and Carter County have to supply at the festival from June 7 - 9, featuring summer fun activities for the whole family. m. Music on the Bridge will feature toe tapping live entertainment including gospel, bluegrass, 50's and 60's beach music and country rock entertainers. After the ribbon cutting, the 46th Annual Covered Bridge Festival kicks off in full swing. The bridge has recently undergone a series of renovations which will be unveiled to the public today. Plus Saturday evening, the streets of historic downtown will showcase more than 150 classic cars. |
