| Punch and Judy to return to town this weekend PUNCH and Judy will be making a return to town this weekend. Children's entertainer Ian Zippy Lee has brought back the puppet show which has proved a hit with generations of youngsters. But gone are Punch's bad habits such as being rude and hitting people with his wooden plank. Ian said: "Punch is now a reformed character who is nice to his wife and very polite to the local community support officer." All the old favourites will be there including the crocodile trying to steal sausages and shows will run throughout the day on Bridge Street this Saturday as part of the town centre Diamond Jubilee street party. |
