Home and Lifestyle Show gets bigger, better

This year's Airdrie Home and Lifestyle Show is only a few short days away and already it promises to be bigger and better than last year.

"We thought that the addition of this option for parents would make the show even more family friendly," said Lauer. "This is a new initiative we are trying out this year where children will be watched by qualified Genesis Place childcare professionals. to 3 p. 50.

To remedy this problem Lauer noted that they kept most things intact, but added some fun features like a life style demonstration stage where live demos will be held over the course of the two days.

They also brought in a collection of new exhibitors including the culinary team from the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen, Sealwize Alberta, and Secure-Rite Mobile Storage.

Admission to the Airdrie Home and Lifestyle show is $5 and also includes admission to the Airdrie Art Show and Sale.

Children under 12 years are free when accompanied by an adult. Providing entertainment for our guests is a tradition of ours and one we are proud to provide and this year we've added a few new performers like Monica Munro and SLAM Airdrie.

Hoping to bring in more families Lauer also noted that this year childcare will be made available for parents who may want to attend the event but are unable to due so as a result of child care issues.

Furthermore to the free seminars and demonstrations guests will also have the chance to take in some of Airdrie's best local talent.

"We love the idea of helping to promote local talent at our show," said Lauer.

The cost for daycare services will be $4.

"This event always draws huge crowds and sometimes moms and dads find it hard to look at everything with little ones tagging along, so this year we decided to provide child care for Saturday only from 9 a. ," said Lauer.

"I think one of the biggest challenges we faced this year in planning for this show was trying to strike a balance between tradition and a desire for change," said ACC Events Coordinator Marie Lauer.
